Case study Antequera Entorno Natural

Website design and content

The challenge

The historic town of Antequera in Malaga is home to one of the most unique landscapes on the Iberian Peninsula. In this place, the non-profit organisation Opus Foundation, included in the register of environmental entities of Andalusia, is carrying out an important project of rewilding to restore the local habitat and preserve the natural and animal species of the area.

With the intention of rehabilitating the area to return it to its original state, the Antequera Entorno Natural initiative needs to develop, while the process of adapting and adapting the space managed by the Opus Foundation is being carried out, a web page that explains the purpose of the project, describes the area and constitutes a point of information and training for all those interested in visiting the site — especially younger audiences, with engaging content and minimal text to spark curiosity.

Opus Foundation needed to be able to tell the story of the project in a clear, visual and functional way, providing an easy-to-manage space for its team that also included a section focused on the ecosystem, specifying the local flora and fauna, infographics on a timeline of the region’s history, interactive and family-friendly maps of the surrounding areas and routes, as well as a way of channelling donations to ensure its long-term maintenance.

Testimonial

“We wanted to reflect the importance of a non-profit project like this, highlighting not only the possibilities for the visitor, but above all the richness of the environment and the need to work to preserve it. A key part of this was creating something that would really speak to a younger audience—visually engaging, simple, and fun to explore. The website designed by Incógnito achieves this and allows us to manage it directly, in a simple way and according to our needs.”

Want to know how we did it?

The objective

Sharing the full value of the initiative through a practical website, aimed at the target audience — particularly schools, families with children, and younger nature lovers — with a visual and interactive experience that informs, educates and inspires involvement.

The solution

At Incógnito we first worked on the name of the project and the development of the global identity of the brand: colours, logotype, typographies and user manual. With this, we delimit the branding and its application in different areas, physical and digital.

We then designed a website with a straightforward and playful structure, reducing the amount of written content in favour of interactive elements, visual storytelling, and simplified maps — making it accessible and enjoyable for younger visitors.

We first developed the naming of the project, as well as its integral brand identity, and then planned and developed a descriptive website, with sections dedicated to the history of Antequera, the different routes that can be visited in the area, the fauna and flora of the place, as well as how to collaborate in the project.

To achieve all of this, we not only took care of the site architecture, but also of its SEO optimisation for better web positioning, as well as its composition, its translation into English and the development of the different graphic creativities shown on the page.

Tactics

  • Definition of web architecture. Planning the structure and organisation of content for smooth navigation.
  • SEO optimisation. Improvement of meta tags, clean URLs and content adapted to relevant searches.
  • Synthesis of information. Analysis of the information, narrowing down the most important elements for the website and establishing its narrative.
  • Text drafting. Informative and emotional texts, adapted to the target audience.
  • Visual design and infographics. Downloadable maps, didactic and visual illustrations that enrich the experience.
  • Technical implementation. WordPress CMS, donation portal and responsive site.
  • Youth-first communication. Emphasis on visual design and simplified language to engage younger users without overwhelming them with information.
